Canvasing the
Joint
To this day, my work has
evolved through a vigorous interplay of abstract and historical
art. Much of my subject matter is portrait work and some mulit-figured
compositions. I like to use strong contrasts and intense colors.
most of my best work is based on these two techniques.
My training began as a
young child who was self-taught for the most part. Later training
came in college, with a B.A. degree for my accomplishments. I
prefer to work in acrylic on canvas. Most of my work in derived
from photographs that I found in the library. The abstracts are
totally my creation. I will always use my talent to better the
interpretation of black and white photos through painting and
to create new ideas for self expression. With my abstracts I'll
continue to play with space on the canvas with a touch of reality
