A few words with Dan Monahan...

It all started when Father wouldn't take me to the circus. I was a fragile child....No wait This is all wrong.

Good friends and the internet...what a combination ! Most of these images are the result of simple doodles that basically consume me. Most of the time there is no secret meaning. Just drawings. The creative aspect is where the beauty lies. I have been influenced by soooo many
things, certainly some tattoo art is in there, Disney stuff is in my head (being the father of two little tykes), stickers, album covers, photographs, my friend Darren's smile, etc. etc. All this stuff is straight from the sketchbook. Like I said, doodles that just kept going. I like alot of different media; airbrush, colored pencils, BLACK ink, and acrylics are a few of my faves. Computers are a great tool as well.
