Machine guns roared as bullets scattered through the sewer.

Rei stumbled down the sewer desperately looking for a way out.

Suddenly she noticed a beam of light coming from above, promising salvation.

Rei climbed up to the light and managed to pry the heavy metal disk loose.

She emerged to see a great structure that towered before her.

 

A small child cautiously stepped from the dark smog that had come over the city.

"Are you an angel?" asked the child.

"I'm...not sure..." replied Rei. "Do you know how to get home?"

The child smiled. "Well, if you're an angel, then your home should be HEAVEN."

"HEAVEN...?" Rei murmured to herself. "How do I get to HEAVEN?"

The child smiled again and pointed upwards to the giant steel monstrosity that filled the sky.

"That way," said the child.

"Thank you," Rei said. More lights began to appear and move towards her.

Rei thanked the child again and ran into the metal beast.
